Landing Page Conversion Checklist: 15 Points That Matter
In shortIn five seconds a visitor should know what you offer, who it’s for and what to do next. If they can’t, no amount of ad spend will fix the page.
Above the fold
- Headline states the outcome, not your company name.
- Sub-headline says who it’s for and how it works.
- One primary call to action, visible without scrolling.
- A real image of the product, result or person — not generic stock.
The offer
- Price or starting price is visible, or the next step says what happens (“Free 15-minute call”).
- Benefits come before features.
- The main objection is answered on the page (cost, time, risk).
Proof
- Reviews or testimonials with names and photos where possible.
- Credentials, certificates or logos of clients.
- Specific numbers (“500+ websites built”) rather than vague claims.
Friction
- Forms ask only for what you need now. Each extra field costs leads.
- WhatsApp or click-to-call for visitors who prefer chatting.
- Loads in under 3 seconds on mobile — see Core Web Vitals quick wins.
Follow-through
- Thank-you page tells people what happens next.
- Conversions are tracked as GA4 events so you can measure changes.
